Zusammenfassung
A complex web of relationships is established between the two concepts mentioned in the title of this paper. Our main goal is to unveil this web of meanings as regards the conceptualization of the roles of love and seduction in literary discourse. This paper aims at providing a set of thought-provoking examples rather than an elaborate synthesis. Therefore, it will focus on the interpretation of literature both as a discourse of seduction and as a seductive discourse. For this purpose, the works of Garcilaso, Becquer and Cervantes, three of the most significant landmarks in the treatment of love in Spanish literature, are analysed.
