Abstract

The appearance of new formulas of social organization determines changes affecting all social systems, including therefore the subsystem of education. In the 1990s grey matter became valued above other aspects of the working of major professional and academic organizations and has therefore had a great impact in all fora on modern approaches to education. The so-called society of knowledge has laid stress on knowledge being the most important factor in educational, economic and social processes in general. This is why the concept in fashion today is intellectual capital, by which we mean the capacity to generate new knowledge in any division of human understanding. This article covers the questions implied by such profound changes in the world of education and specifically from the point of view of organization: time, people, resources, content, etc.
