This essay realices an analysis about the repression that the uprising band began in 18th July 1936. We are going to pay more attention to the case of Leon`s northeast mountain. León is one of the most punished geographical areas of Spain by the political violence during the Civil War and the first years of the dictatorship. In order to find an explanation for this situation, we are going to perform an analysis of some issues that determine the degree of repression’s cruelty. Then, we are going to analyze the particular case of the North-eastern Leon mountain.
