Abstract

This study deals with the New Cathedral of Lérida -"Catedral Nova", in Catalan- disappeared liturgical furnishings, which is the fruit of the artistic patronage of bishop Joaquín A. Sánchez Ferragudo (1771-1783). It unites numerous dispersed materials, with the previously unknown documents concerning of this liturgical furnishings program, praised by critics such as Antonio Ponz, without which the sense of history and missing heritage would be incomprehensible.
