Abstract

The Chinas economic reform process is one of the most important events in the evolution of the World Economy in recent years. As a result thereof, and especially since its accession to the World Trade Organization, China's role in world trade has changed radically, to put the country on the top of international trade flows. In this context, the aim of this paper is to study the position of China in world trade by product, with special emphasis on identifying those areas that China have comparative advantages or disadvantages within global trade flows. For this purpose, we will use some of the key indicators commonly used in the literature.
