Resumo

This research work in dramatics plays written in the Spanish language and published in children's and youth books collections between 1982 and 2010 starts from a reading analysis with teenagers to set up the suitability stardards and to form a specific corpus of the Youth Theatre. The dramatic reading process in the classroom of the thirty per cent of the final corpus has been watched. The record has been systematized with a common pattern and a bar graph which was created specifically for it. To present the characteristics of this Youth Dramatic Litterature it was necesary to summarized the earlier product through the literary criticism in the last century. This is contrasted with Children's and Youth's current Theatre from a structural point of view, its characters, genres, humour, ideology, themes, linguistic level, scenic languages, pragmatic aspects as well as with Young Novel that shares the same specific reader. The latter is given a thorough comparative work through present fiction criticism. There are more than one hundred plays, published for reading and performing with teenagers, that consists of the new formative canon to improve dramatic literary competence.
