Abstract
New data about the Suborder Adephaga in standing waters of Special Ares of Conservation (SAC) included in the Natura 2000 Network from Galicia (Northwestern Spain) are presented. In this study, 7,970 individuals belonging to 59 species of five families of the suborder Adephaga (Gyrinidae, Haliplidae, Noteridae, Paelobiidae, Dytiscidae) were identified. Two new species of aquatic beetles are added to the inventory of this region, Graptodytes bilineatus (Sturm, 1835) and Metaporus meridionalis (Aubé, 1838). Eleven new provincial records are presented and the geographical distribution of several species is extended. The corology of each species is also mentioned.
