Abstract

The LOE states inclusive education as one of the main principles of our education. To turn our schools into inclusive settings it is necessary to have committed and trained teachers. In order to establish with these professionals a common theoretical frame with indicators to define inclusion, two focus groups were developed with preschool, primary, secondary and special education teachers. Results allowed us developing a final version of the Assessment of training needs for inclusion Questionnaire (ATIQ). In this paper we show the main characteristics of the measure as well as its potential use to improve the inclusion in schools.
