Résumé
In this article we look into the structural relations between the processes of external indebtedness and socioeconomic development in low income countries. It aims to strengthen the coherence of financial co-operation policies and anti-poverty policies in line with the multilateral debt relief initiatives. In this respect, we will try to demonstrate that it is possible to design debt sustainability instruments which consider the countries' payment capacity, but at the same time allow to reach their development aspirations
