Abstract

The present paper analizes the incidence of fertilization with gradual liberation tablets in a Populus x euroamericana I-214 stand. The plantation where the experiences are carried out can be considered representative of the plantation silviculture in the Duero bassin. Four treatments of fertilization are tested and confronted with the absence of fertilization in a randomized block experiment design. On the third year after the plantation the analysis of the variance show that the hypotesis of equal growth between treatments can be accepted. This shows that in the first years of growth the effect of the fertilization is statisticly not significative.
